A resident of Maui for over 20 years, Susan arrived on Maui and knew it was home! Her passion has always been travel, sustainable tourism, food/wine and the outdoors. She has traveled, hiked and explored over 60 countries and counting. Susan graduated from Duquesne University while working for British Airways in airport operations. After 8 years, many promotions and 9/11/01, she packed it up and moved to Maui, HI to pursue new, exciting opportunities. “Initally I just came here to hike, surf, learn about the Hawaiian culture/land and meet new people”. “My passion helped to bring Awapuhi Adventures to life.” Susan has worked in many fields on Maui including; concierge, real estate sales, private condo management, conservation, wine & spirits sales management and solar sales specialist & design. “I love working with people to design amazing get-away’s by sharing my knowledge of the island, culture and sustainable practices, including the fun activities, great beaches, wonderful accommodations and also the best food/wine on the island! I really love putting together adventure itinerary’s for private groups. Some of my favorite clients allow me to design unforgettable experiences which have included being helicoptered into private spots for beautiful outdoor lunches & dinners combined with great hiking, ATVing, horsebackriding or simple walks along beautiful beaches!”
