Aloha! My name is Christopher. I am 30 years old, born in the United States, with Greek-Indian ancestry. I’m a musician, wood burning artist, and a father. I first came to Maui almost six years ago I search of knowledge. I wanted to learn about farming, growing my own food, the history and culture of this amazing place, and most of all, learn who I am and where I came from.
Amongst my many stays on various farms and valleys, I had the opportunity to learn about the layout of the land, the trails, the hikes, the food, the farming ways, the history, and the culture which brought me to wanting to show it to others.
I thought; “How can I do this and sustain myself?”
That’s when I was introduced to the tourism industry. At first I did zip-line touring, as Lead guide through Maui’s rainforest near Makawao. Then I moved onto guided narrated tours for one of the biggest and probably most expensive companies on the island where I was tested over an 18 segment test on the history, culture, language, geology, and geography of Maui.
From there I moved into a more in-depth guiding experience where I could physically take people into the heart of some of these places providing a unique, one-of-a-kind, memorable experience.
Today I’m a few years into touring and hiking, and well equipped with the local knowledge, and understanding of the island and history only learned by being welcomed into the circles of teachers and friends who I now call my closest. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with you! “E Komo Mai (Welcome) to Maui”!
