We just returned from a week in Maui, HI and spent two of the days with Awapuhi Adventures. From beginning to end this was the BEST excursion we ever took. Our contact was Alicia, a charming, fun, smart, beautiful, soulful woman who went out of her way to please our group of 8-10. Not an easy feat! Alicia was extremely willing to customize our excursions, provided us with excellent communication during the planning process, was punctual when picking us up at 4am to see the sunrise over the Haleakala Summit or at 6:30am to go to Hana for the day. . .provided a wonderfully delicious homemade lunch both days; snacks, waters, raingear, towels, new and clean snorkeling equipment. Most important was her wealth of information about Maui, Hawaii, surrounding history, flora and fauna, the best and safest shortcuts, secluded or at least less crowded beaches; always having an alternate route and a plan B if A did not work due to weather or traffic... her utmost concerns were for our safety, enjoyment, ecological curiosity, energy level...everything. She didn't miss a thing!
Our travelers consisted of 4-6 kids ranging in age from 12-17, active, and 4 adults. There was always something for everyone. ..there was nothing she couldn't or wouldn't do for us.
We all agree that we would not hesitate to recommend Alicia and Awapuhi Adventures. You will learn more than you ever thought you were curious about and enjoy yourself immensely!
